I approach each project as a problem to be solved.  The problem must be determined through research if necessary, before any design begins, in order to have a successful product.  The most successful products serve both the needs of the consumer and the needs of the producer.  To serve these needs the designer must take into account the engineering, ergonomics, and aesthetics of the product.  When a designer's work is guided by these principles, the resulting product will be successful.
